Brave New Moment

Today I watched a video about time travel. It was rather an emotional approach instead of the concept and explanation of it.

We are all scared to experience the moments we have, from time to time. "I wish I could hug him...", "I wish I could tell her that I love her..." In these times, we cannot act exactly how we want. We mostly regret these moments later too.

But it is alright to be scared. We are not perfect at all. We experience life one way or another. And whether the outcome is positive or negative, it is an experience in the end. It is up to us how to react to the same or similar cases in the future.

After I watched the video I thought that, "What would I do if time travel would be a thing in our lifetime?" I think people would divide in two; people who choose to get more money than they have or people who choose to revisit those lovely times or the ones they regret in time.

But then I thought there might be one another option: Making different, unique or unlikely decisions whatever the moment is. Because this is how we collect memories. Making the same decisions might be secure at that moment, or living an easy and well-planned life might be safe; but they won't bring the new, interesting, exciting, sad, heartbreaking or frustrating moments with them. Even though negative moments sound scary, they are all part of our life. We need to embrace them all.

Especially during the pandemic, I can easily tell that I am missing a lot in my life already. I missed living life, making mistakes and encountering unknown situations more freely.

Hope things will get better soon so we can "live" life wholly and collect new memories without regret but awareness.

And please, let's not be like that guy in the right in the comic who shouts and thinks he is wiser than anyone else.
